Eye on the Prize is a short tech demo-style video game that was developed as a second-year autumn semester project at Lapland University of Applied Sciences as a group project. As the only team member with game development experience, I took on the role of overall vision and style director in this project. The game features music produced by me. The project requirements included designing a controller for playing the game. In addition to designing and building the controller, we programmed an ESP32 microcontroller board to read and transmit the controller component values to the game via WiFi connection. The game was built using the Unity game engine. In this project, I got to deepen my expertise in game development, game design, and the C# programming language. As a new learning experience, I also gained basic skills in working with embedded systems.
